Job Summary
Conduct psychiatric evaluations, manage medication, and provide ongoing care to the Medicaid population via telehealth. Utilize an active, unrestricted PMHNP license in Michigan, national board certification, and prescriptive authority to deliver patient-centered treatment planning. Collaborate with therapists and community providers within a multidisciplinary network while maintaining a quiet, HIPAA-compliant home office for confidential virtual sessions. The role offers flexible hours, full administrative support for scheduling and billing, and optional peer consultation to assist with diverse caseloads.
Required Qualifications
- An active, unrestricted PMHNP license in good standing in the state of Michigan
- National board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
- Prescriptive authority and an active DEA registration
- Experience providing psychiatric evaluations and prescribing psychotropic medications (under supervision or independently)
- Experience working with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and other digital tools
- Fluency in English
- Strong clinical judgment in managing psychiatric conditions across diverse populations
- A patient-centered approach to medication management and treatment planning
- Experience collaborating with therapists and other providers as part of a multidisciplinary care team
- Commitment to equity in mental health access for Medicaid populations
