Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnose and manage behavioral health conditions, and develop individualized evidence-based treatment plans for adult and geriatric residents. Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications while collaborating with physicians, nursing staff, and families to participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning. Educate residents and caregivers on diagnoses and interventions, maintaining accurate clinical documentation throughout care. Provide compassionate, trauma-informed, resident-centered services with full autonomy over caseload management. This full-time role offers meaningful clinical work with extensive support from an experienced behavioral health team, including structured onboarding, mentorship, and weekly continuing medical education.
Required Qualifications
- Board-certified PMHNP-BC or Physician Assistant with significant psychiatric experience
- Active and unrestricted Florida professional license
- Active DEA registration required
- Strong knowledge of psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, psychopharmacology and treatment planning
- Ability to manage a psychiatric caseload independently
- Excellent communication, organization and clinical-reasoning skills
Desired Qualifications
- Geriatric, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care or post-acute experience preferred
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus but not required
