Job Summary
Conduct initial and follow-up psychiatric evaluations, including comprehensive mental status exams and risk assessments for clients with serious mental health and addiction issues. Manage psychotropic medication and treatment plans while providing crisis intervention as directed. Monitor referrals and facilitate group sessions with vulnerable individuals, including those affected by HIV/AIDS and substance abuse. Discuss and create treatment plans with clients within an interdisciplinary team at a community-based health center serving the underserved. Requires 3-5 years of clinical experience with minority communities and bilingual English/Spanish capability.
Required Qualifications
- Master of Science in Nursing
- post-master's certificate
- license to practice as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
- MAT certified
- Active DEA
- 3-5 years of clinical, psychopharmacology and direct service provision with minority communities, communities at risk and families affected by HIV/AIDS, mental illness and substance abuse
- Working experience with group facilitation
- Working experience with psychopathology/psychotherapy
- Working experience with differential diagnosis
- Intermediate to advance knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word
- Intermediate to advance knowledge and experience with Microsoft Outlook
