Job Summary
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) – provide psychiatric care in long-term care and rehabilitation facilities; perform psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits, develop/implement/evaluate treatment plans, prescribe/manage psychotropic medications, collaborate with an integrated care team (psychiatrists, psychologists, LCSWs, nursing staff), distinguish between psychological and physiological disorders, and consult on complex cases. Requires MSN – Psychiatric/Mental Health and ANCC PMHNP certification; active DEA; opportunities for advancement within a multidisciplinary team; flexible scheduling with no nights, weekends, or on-call.
Required Qualifications
- MSN – Psychiatric/Mental Health; ANCC PMHNP certification
- Experience in psychotropic medication management
- Active DEA
- Optional: Family Nurse Practitioners with 3–5 years of psych experience will be considered
