Job Summary
Conduct psychiatric diagnostic evaluations, prescribe medications, and coordinate care for clients with mental health and substance use needs within an outpatient setting. Perform timely clinical documentation, billing, and laboratory interpretation while maintaining accurate medical records. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including therapists and psychiatrists to provide comprehensive care, utilizing telemedicine for intake and follow-up appointments. Complete medication education, informed consent processes, and health promotion strategies for patients. Participate in weekly mandatory supervisory meetings and adhere to state licensing requirements, supervised hours, and continuing education standards.
Required Qualifications
- Masters or doctorate degree from an accredited nursing school
- Completion of an accredited Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program
- Current Licensed Practitioner with full and unrestricted licensure in the state of practice
- Active state DEA License
- BLS from the American Heart Association
- Competent and comfortable with conducting Telemedicine technology appointments
Desired Qualifications
- At least one year of experience as a PMHNP
