Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including patient interviews, mental status examinations, and medical history reviews. Diagnose and manage mental health disorders across the lifespan, such as depression, anxiety, and substance use disorders. Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating pharmacotherapy, psychotherapy, and lifestyle interventions while prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medications. Provide patient and family education on diagnoses, treatment options, and coping strategies. Collaborate with primary care physicians, therapists, and social workers to ensure integrated care. Maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical records and participate in case consultations and quality improvement initiatives. This bilingual role supports a mission-driven multi-specialty practice in Queens, NY.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health from an accredited program
- New York State Nurse Practitioner license
- Board Certified
- Bilingual in Spanish
