Job Summary
Assess and treat mental illness through evaluations, medication management, and psychotherapy while collaborating with the Medical Director. Conduct patient interviews, analyze clinical data to diagnose disorders, and oversee treatment plans including infusions and transcranial magnetic stimulation. Maintain confidential records, advise families, and refer clients to community resources or specialists as needed. Provide patient education to prospective patients and physicians, organize community workshops, and build a referral base by visiting local providers. Work Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm with occasional schedule variations, adhering to strict HIPAA, CDC, and state regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Hold a degree as a PMHNP - Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at the level needed to assess and prescribe medication collaboratively with a psychiatrist as determined by the State Board of Nursing
- Be licensed as a psychiatric APRN with 2 years outpatient/inpatient experience as a PMHNP-BC
- Current APRN license in good standing
- Excellent clinician with a minimum of 2 year of clinical and administrative experience
- Board certified
- BLS
- ACLS
- Knowledge of healthcare industry – Health Plan, MSO, CMS, Federal regulations
- Required excellent analytical skills
- Excellent written/oral skills
- Possess interpersonal/listening skills to interact effectively with individuals of all backgrounds, experience and educational levels
- Strong customer service skills to identify and address patient needs
- Strong time management skills and ability to work independently to deliver key results
- Work collaboratively with a high degree of professional ethic, knowledge of confidential and regulatory compliance practices
- Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
- Requires ability to work under stressful situations demanding high concentration and energy level
