Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (Florida)

Job Summary
Nurse Practitioners provide direct patient care for medication management, diagnostic evaluations and medical assessments; offer patient education on medications, risks, benefits and expected outcomes; collaborate with support staff for proper patient communication and follow-up; participate in treatment team meetings; assist Medical Directors with patient-facing tasks; and may take on additional duties as assigned. The role is remote-friendly with a 40-hour workweek (32 clinical, 8 administrative). Candidates must hold a Master of Science in Nursing with a Psychiatric/Mental Health emphasis and be licensed PMHNP; minimum of 3+ years PMHNP experience; experience across pediatric to adult populations; proficient EHR use; strong communication with medical, clinical support, and administrative staff; and comfort with telehealth and remote documentation tools.
Required Qualifications
- Masters of Science in Nursing with a Psychiatric/Mental Health emphasis from an accredited program
- Must be licensed as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
- 3+ years experience working as a PMHNP; IOP, PHP, and/or IP experience is preferred
- Experience working with a wide range of ages, including children, teens, young adults, and adults clients
- Ability to communicate and work proficiently with medical staff, patients, clinical support and administrative staff
- Proficiency in use of electronic health records
- Requires computer and internet skills, including Microsoft Word and Outlook
