Job Summary
Diagnose, assess and prescribe as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in a Jacksonville, FL outpatient/residential mental health program. Responsibilities include conducting histories and physicals, risk assessment, ordering/interpretation of tests, prescribing medications per clinic policy, providing emergency psychiatric care when needed, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care to children, adults, and families. Role involves delivering healthcare education to patients and families, maintaining medical records, and ensuring effective communication with other health professionals. Requires PMHNP certification (ANCC), unrestricted state licensure, and a Bachelor’s in Nursing with a Master’s in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing, along with Suboxone experience and strong English communication. Required Qualifications
- Certified Nurse Practitioner (Required)
- Nurse Practitioner license in the state (unrestricted, active)
- Obtaining Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification from ANCC
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- Master’s degree in Psychiatric or Mental Health Nursing
- Strong understanding of mental health and ability to solve problems
- Strong communication skills in English
- Experience diagnosing, conducting histories and physicals, and prescribing medications per clinic policy
- Experience with Suboxone treatment
