Job Summary
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) for full-time position in Clermont, FL. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating psychiatric-mental health conditions, prescribing medications following clinic policy, providing outpatient and residential care, conducting histories and physicals, coordinating with an interdisciplinary team, and delivering healthcare education. Requires PMHNP certification (ANCC), state licensure as a nurse practitioner, and a Master’s degree in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing. Must have experience with Suboxone and be able to treat patients of all ages. This role involves in-person work in a clinical setting with opportunities for collaboration across psychiatry and psychotherapy services.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate professional nurse license and nurse practitioner registration in a state (unrestricted, current, active)
- Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification from ANCC
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing followed by a Master’s degree in Psychiatric or Mental Health Nursing from an approved program
- Strong English communication skills (written and spoken)
- Experience diagnosing, treating, and prescribing for psychiatric-mental health conditions
- Experience with Suboxone
- Ability to work with patients of all ages
- Experience in outpatient and residential care settings
- Ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary medical team
- Proficient with medical records and clinical documentation systems
- Strong problem-solving, empathy, and communication skills
