Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary
Conduct in-person psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments for LTC residents; develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans; prescribe and manage psychotropic medications in accordance with Medicare and LTC best practices; implement Medicare-compliant gradual dose reduction (GDR) strategies; monitor and treat chronic mental health conditions (depression, anxiety, bipolar, schizophrenia, dementia-related disturbances); collaborate with interdisciplinary teams; complete accurate EMR documentation; build relationships with facility staff and leadership; enjoy flexible scheduling with no evenings, weekends, or on-call, and access APA-accredited CEUs and ongoing clinical support.
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted PMHNP or PMHNP-BC license
- Valid DEA registration
- Strong clinical judgment and comfort working in LTC environments
- Commitment to timely documentation and high-quality psychiatric care
