Job Summary
Provide integrated psychiatric medical services: diagnose and treat mental disorders, co-occurring substance use, and general medical conditions within NP scope; coordinate care with internal/external providers; prescribe/review psychiatric medications; manage medical conditions (hypertension, diabetes, obesity, etc.); document treatment and medication details; collaborate with nurses/medical assistants; participate in treatment/discharge planning, quality improvement, and staff development; educate patients on disease processes, medications, and healthy lifestyle; utilize EHR and MAPS/PMP systems; lead quality initiatives and ensure adherence to CNS policies; contribute to the clinic's mission within a CNS Healthcare setting in Michigan.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Masters prepared Nurse Practitioner in psychiatry
- Certified as a Nurse Practitioner
- Unrestricted License as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Michigan
- Controlled Substance Registration from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)
- Suboxone DEA waiver
- Two years’ experience post master’s or doctorate in psychiatric outpatient setting (or five years post master’s) and licensure as NP
- Proficiency with electronic health records
- MAPS/PMP/AWARxE/PDMP familiarity
- HIPAA compliance
- Driver's license
