Job Summary
Provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management within an integrated care team at Old Town Clinic, serving individuals experiencing homelessness and with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders; prescribe and manage opioid use disorder medications (buprenorphine and other recovery meds), conduct crisis intervention and risk assessments, contribute to collaborative care planning, and deliver trauma-informed, harm-reduction care.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing
- Master’s degree in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing from State Board of Nursing-approved schools of nursing
- Current license to practice nursing in Oregon and certified as a PMHNP by the Oregon State Board of Nursing and National certification
- Must have full prescriptive powers in Oregon with a DEA number
- Must meet CCC privileging requirements as required by FTCA
- Current BLS certification required prior to start
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
- Must meet applicable training requirements for Buprenorphine prescribing
- Ability to walk, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, reach, pull and lift heavy objects, and climb stairs with reasonable or no accommodation
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, TB test, and background check
- Adherence to HIPAA and privacy requirements
- Ability to work within an integrated, multidisciplinary setting
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and communicate effectively
Additional Requirements
- DHS Background Check Unit clearance
- OAR prohibits SUDS program staff from having certain convictions within the previous 3 years
