Job Summary
Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including mental status examinations and risk assessments, for clients in Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient, and Therapeutic Behavioral Services programs. Develop and update individualized treatment plans integrating psychopharmacology, behavioral interventions, and coordination with therapy and case management. Manage psychiatric medication, including prescribing, monitoring, and adjusting based on client response, while providing medication-assisted treatment for substance use disorders. Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation during acute episodes, maintain accurate clinical documentation in the Sunwave EHR, and participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings. Support discharge planning and step-down transitions between levels of care.
Required Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in the State of Ohio with Psychiatric-Mental Health certification (PMHNP-BC or equivalent)
- Active DEA registration with authority to prescribe psychotropic and controlled medications
- Demonstrated expertise in psychiatric assessment, medication management, and crisis intervention
- Working knowledge of relevant regulations, including HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and Ohio behavioral health standards
- Strong understanding of mental health conditions across diverse populations, including clients with complex comorbidities and co-occurring substance use disorders
- Excellent communication skills for effective multidisciplinary collaboration and client education
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism, empathy, and sound clinical judgment
Desired Qualifications
- Clinical experience in behavioral health, addiction treatment, or a related setting
- Experience with PHP/IOP or residential/recovery populations
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems
- Experience with MAT and telehealth platforms
