Job Summary
Part-time RN for the CoPEWell FDA-regulated psilocybin clinical trial at UW–Madison’s Wisconsin Sleep Center. Provides licensed RN coverage for protocol-required dosing visits, including IV placement/maintenance, continuous vital sign monitoring, clinical assessments, and immediate response to adverse reactions to ensure participant safety and regulatory compliance. Sessions occur overnight (12–14 hours per session); role may provide flexible clinical support across the PI’s broader research portfolio, including biospecimen collection and other medical monitoring procedures. Requires onsite work at a designated campus location with a starting hourly wage of $50 (negotiable based on experience), and an ADN is required (BSN preferred). The appointment is terminal/12-month with potential extension or conversion and requires care to safeguard vulnerable populations; prior clinical research procedures familiarity is preferred and the team operates in a multidisciplinary clinical setting.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license; required by start date of employment
- Proficiency in venous access and IV placement, including IV management and patient monitoring
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
