Job Summary
Conduct designated education sessions for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Provide basic patient care with minimal supervision, assist with activities of daily living, and respond promptly to patient requests. Accurately check vital signs, monitor dietary needs, perform skin care, collect specimens, and conduct personal searches following established procedures. Document all observations, interactions, and treatments in a clear manner while reporting patient changes to appropriate personnel. Adhere to policies to ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Requires CPR and MOAB certification; holds a BS degree preferably in psychology or social services.
Required Qualifications
- Psych Tech II-BS degree preferably in psychology or social services
- CPR certification
- MOAB certification
- Uses common sense and special skills to care for patients
- Understand technical information applicable to job function and caring for patients
- Responds quickly in an emergency with appropriate action
- Communicate with people
- Changes from one duty to another frequently
- Follows and/or gives precise instructions
- Records and interprets information accurately
Desired Qualifications
- Health care experience is desirable
