Job Summary
Provide mental health nursing in long-term care settings, performing in-person nursing assessments, medication review, and care management coordination with the treatment team; educate clients and caregivers on prescribed psychiatric and physical health medications and monitor for side effects; assist in building coping skills and setting annual goals related to psychiatric diagnoses; may cover multiple facilities; help train and mentor peers; travel within the assigned service area as needed; no evening or weekend shifts; comprehensive training and benefit package offered.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- LPN or RN license
- Experience in psychiatric, mental and behavioral health services
- Willingness to travel throughout assigned service area
- CPR or Course can be provided during training
