Job Summary
Assess care needs for older adults with mental health and substance use disorders, develop individualized plans of care, and coordinate nursing interventions with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. Monitor patient safety, report adverse outcomes, and provide milieu management within a 26-bed unit featuring a close observation wing. Educate families on discharge planning and coping strategies while documenting all care activities per established policies. Lead direct care staff, delegate assignments, and review patient care protocols to ensure quality improvement. Provide spiritual, emotional, and physical support to patients in a recovery-focused environment, maintaining professional standards and role modeling organizational values.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed to practice in the state of Michigan
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Satisfactory previous clinical experience
- Must maintain annual training and demonstrate competency in the required programmatic training
- Must be able to work onsite
- Must be available for weekend and holiday hours
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Must pass a drug screen prior to employment
