Job Summary
Psychiatric Rehabilitation Worker provides Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services (PSR) both in a facility-based setting and in the community as assigned. Responsibilities include facilitating group activities to help individuals develop, enhance and retain skills for living, learning, working and socializing; delivering daily living, socialization, educational/vocational supports and recreation planning; monitoring progress, developing individualized rehabilitation plans; crisis resolution and identifying resources for immediate intervention; establishing liaisons with other service providers to promote coordination of services; and may involve local travel and on-call coverage. Qualifications include a degree (Bachelor’s or Associate’s with experience or CPS certification with experience, or HS diploma with multiple years in Human Services including mental health direct service), strong communication and documentation skills, computer literacy, and a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or Associates degree and 1 year work experience in mental health direct service, or CPS certification and 1 year paid or volunteer experience, or High School diploma/GED and 2 years work experience in Human Services, which must include 1 year of mental health direct service.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as be detail-oriented and able to complete a high volume of documentation in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong computer skills are required, as well as Internet research abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of mental health system and supports.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
