Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care for assigned patients in a mental health/psychiatric environment; design nursing care plans and assist in the development of overall care plans for psychiatric patients, ensure administration of appropriate overall care in a manner conducive to recovery. Prepare and administer medications, perform assessments, triage, crisis intervention, and education for patients and families; may facilitate group therapy or education sessions; document observations and coordinate with physicians and service providers; participate in orientation and precepting of new personnel, while adhering to department policies and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- RN license in NM or by reciprocal agreement by NM
- CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuers within 30 days
- Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate
- Aggressive Behavior Credential (within 30 days)
