Job Summary
Psych Nurse Practitioner needed for weekend coverage in skilled nursing facilities in Naugatuck, CT. Deliver person-centered psychiatric care to adults in SNFs, conduct assessments, diagnoses, and treatments, provide psychoeducation and medication education to patients/families, collaborate with interdisciplinary facility teams, complete timely documentation within 24 hours, and ensure compliance with state regulations in SNF settings. Role offers autonomy with physician-level consult access, malpractice insurance provided, license reimbursement, CEU support, and ongoing clinical support.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in the state of practice
- Experience in skilled nursing facilities, hospitals, residential care, geriatric services, and outpatient psychiatric settings preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience providing mental health care to adult populations
- Proficient with EHRs and clinical technology
- Strong communicator with a collaborative mindset
