Job Summary
Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the Psych ED in collaboration with the care team; provide individualized, comprehensive care using established nursing models; serve as patient/family advocate; educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up measures; promote pain management and safety, perform procedures as ordered, document care promptly, and support self-management and health maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse Licensure
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Cour must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- Advanced Cardiac Life Spt, or Bachelors Degree, or Work Experience in lieu of Degree must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- 1 year or more RN experience Required.
- ED & Behavioral Health Nursing preferred.
