Job Summary
Part-time Personal Support Worker at Stirling Park Retirement (Riverstone Community), 4:00pm–9:30pm shift. Provide resident care including personal hygiene, dressing, bathing, and assistance with meals; deliver and receive shift reports; follow individual care plans under supervision of RPN/DOC; report changes in residents’ condition; respond to call bells; participate in infection control and incident reporting; assist with supplies and meal service as needed; collaborate with the care team to support residents’ well-being and safety.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Community College Health Care Attendant/Personal Support Worker Certificate or equivalent experience
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification
- Two years or more experience, preferably in a geriatric setting
- Excellent communication skills
- Empathy for, and understanding of the needs of the elderly
- Work as part of a team
- Capable of adapting to different situations and change
- Keen interest in working with seniors
