Job Summary
Assist clients in their homes with non-medical activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs) as required and outlined in the client's individual service plan. Provide support to enable adults with permanent physical disabilities and seniors to live independently, dignifiedly, and productively within their community. Maintain confidentiality, respect privacy laws, and demonstrate strong ethical standards while working under limited supervision. This role supports ILS, an Ontario Health funded not-for-profit agency, in helping individuals lead independent lives in Simcoe County.
Required Qualifications
- Personal Support Worker Certification
- RN
- RPN
- DSW
- minimum of 3000 hours demonstrated work experience in community care/long-term care/healthcare setting
- Current First Aid and CPR level C Certification
- successful Vulnerable Sector Check
- Reliable personal vehicle
- valid driver's license
