Job Summary
Manage business operations for multiple scientific teams in Northern California, lead direct reports, and collaborate with clients to ensure high-quality scientific services in laboratory or manufacturing settings. Oversee resource organization, staff development, and performance management; drive operational excellence and risk management; ensure adherence to quality standards and productivity metrics; travel locally to site locations; and support business development and client governance. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience), at least 5 years leading direct reports, and a strong scientific background in pharma/ GMP contexts. Strong client-service orientation, communication, and teamwork are essential, along with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks toward deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Biotechnical Sciences, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent directly-related experience)
- At least 5 years of experience leading direct reports
- Scientific background with hands-on laboratory experience in pharmaceutical, clinical, or GMP settings
- Strong client service skills and ability to manage client relationships
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong leadership and team-building abilities
- Ability to travel locally within Northern California frequently (up to 5% or more)
- Proficiency with standard computer tools and documentation practices
- Commitment to meeting quality and productivity metrics
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
