Job Summary
The PSR coordinates patient schedules for an outpatient Family Medicine Clinic and provides clerical support to ensure smooth clinic operations. Responsibilities include scheduling appointments by telephone or in person, collecting patient demographics, greeting patients, handling payments and receipts, preparing and filing encounter forms, verifying insurance eligibility and referrals for HMO patients, updating charts and uploading documents into the EMR, balancing the cash drawer, promoting the Patient Portal, and assisting with ancillary forms and records. Requires strong verbal and written communication, excellent customer service, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and knowledge of hospital policies and procedures. Education: High School Diploma or GED; Experience: 1+ years of professional work experience. Equal opportunity employer statement included.
