Job Summary
The Patient Service Representative (PSR) is the first point of contact with patients, family members and caregivers in the office, supporting providers, management, and clinical staff by coordinating patient schedules, handling inquiries, and processing payments. Responsibilities include greeting patients face-to-face, answering calls, directing inquiries, assisting with Copayment/Prepayment and outstanding balances, and performing administrative tasks within an electronic medical records system to support care delivery. The role emphasizes compassionate patient engagement, teamwork within Franciscan Health’s network, and adherence to the organization’s values and equal opportunity employment. Office hours are days Monday–Friday with available schedules; travel is Never or Rarely required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED - Required
- 1 year Customer Service - Required
- 1 year Healthcare - Preferred
