Job Summary
The Protective Security Officer will protect federal property and employees from theft and hazards. Responsibilities include controlling access to facilities, monitoring entrances, patrolling assigned sites, responding to incidents, and preparing logs or reports. Candidates must meet federal requirements for FPS Protective Security Officers, including being 21 years old, a U.S. citizen, and passing physical and background checks. FPS training credentials and a valid New Jersey handgun permit are required.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to speak, read, and write using coherent English language
- Must be 21 years old
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must pass a physical and drug screen
- Must pass a background check
- Must be able to obtain contract suitability
- Must have FPS experience and applicable qualifications
