Job Summary
PSM Specialist to ensure compliance with the facility’s Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Programs (RMP) in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. Based at Pilgrim’s processing plant in Cold Spring, MN; responsibilities include maintaining compliant PSM/RMP programs, participating in ammonia system operations, updating SOPs and training records, leading PSM meetings, supporting environmental sustainability initiatives, assisting with ammonia refrigeration projects and Management of Change processes, and supporting APSM compliance schedules. Schedule is Monday–Friday with occasional weekends; benefits begin after 60 days; 401(k) with company match; focus on safety and compliance and ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- College Degree in related field preferred
- 1+ years of directly related experience required
- knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910.119 regulations and APSM or similar PSM compliance software experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret piping, instrument, and block flow diagrams
- basic understanding of ammonia refrigeration systems preferred
- proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- SAP knowledge is a plus
- strong communication and problem-solving skills
- self-motivated and capable of working independently
