Job Summary
Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for all age groups, including drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests. Enter patient data accurately and timely, process billing and payments, and prepare specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen logs while providing superior customer service and handling administrative duties as needed. Travel to additional sites when required. This role supports LabCorp's mission to improve health through diagnostics and data-driven innovation.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
- In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
- This position requires you to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
- Subject to applicable law, all prospective hires will need to provide proof of being fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or qualify for medical or religious accommodations
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Reliable transportation
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
