Job Summary
Supervise and guide residents of the treatment program during evening and night hours, with availability for weekends and holidays as needed. Identify and work with the American Indian community, specifically relating to their needs under program activities. Maintain confidentiality regarding residents and handle potentially hostile or uncooperative individuals while remaining calm in crisis situations. Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including CPR certification within 90 days, HIPAA and Privacy Act training within 30 days, and MAT training within 12 months. Possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record, as driving GSA or tribal vehicles may be required. Demonstrate a caring attitude regarding substance addiction and domestic violence, supported by a high school diploma or GED and intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs
- Must have a caring attitude and understanding of the problems of substance addiction and domestic violence
- Must be able to deal with potentially hostile and/or uncooperative individuals
- Must be able to handle stress and remain calm in crisis situations
- Must be flexible in shift availability
- Must be able to maintain confidential information regarding residents
- Must be CPR certified within the first 90 days
- Must be HIPAA and Privacy Act trained within the first 30 days
- Must have MAT training within the first 12 months
- Requires a high level of personal integrity and ethics
- Requires a high level of problem solving skills
- Requires a moderate level of technical writing skills
- Requires willingness and ability to learn new skills, including travel to conferences and training sessions
- Requires good interpersonal communication and team work skills
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Must be able to pass drug/alcohol testing
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Sociology or related field
- At least one (1) year of experience working in a substance abuse facility, domestic violence shelter or behavioral health program
- Must be available for weekends and holidays as needed
- Must be able to identify and work with the American Indian community at large and relate to their needs under our program activities
