Job Summary
Conduct weekly in-person therapeutic support for unaccompanied immigrant children released from federal custody, focusing on crisis intervention, safety planning, and family preservation. Provide therapeutically centered intensive case management for vulnerable children with special circumstances, utilizing clinically focused interventions and social work best practices. Maintain regular communication with the supervisor regarding child safety, stability, and well-being while submitting detailed documentation in compliance with organizational policies. Travel by car or public transportation within an assigned region, with up to 70% travel required, and participate in ongoing supervision. Fluency in Spanish is required.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in social work, psychology or other relevant behavioral science in which direct clinical experience is a program requirement; or a bachelor's degree with at least five years of experience in a clinical setting
- Licensed, or eligible for licensure
- Ability to travel to home visits and other service agencies to serve the client, either by own vehicle or by public transportation (train, plane, etc.)
- Availability of a vehicle that meeting safety and mechanical requirements for travel within an assigned radius
- Must be willing and able to clear a criminal background check
- Must be willing and able to request and clear Child Abuse and Neglect background check in all states lived within previous 5 years, updated as required
- Must obtain a negative TB Test yearly
- Must be willing and able to obtain FBI fingerprint check every 5 years
- Spanish language fluency
- Must have valid driver's license and MVA check free of major infractions for the last 7 years
- Ability to travel up to 70%
- Must comply with an enhanced background check post-hire
Desired Qualifications
- CBT certification, trauma focused CBT preferred
