Job Summary
Develop and continuously optimize manufacturing and assembly processes, including NC programs, while analyzing technical problems through structured root cause analysis methods like RCCA and 8D. Plan and execute trials, process validations, and first-article releases to ensure quality and efficiency. Lead projects focused on automation, standardization, and the introduction of new manufacturing technologies using Lean methodologies to drive improvements in quality, productivity, and cost. Collaborate closely with production, quality, design, procurement, and suppliers to manage change and enforce process standards. This role requires a technician or degree holder with extensive experience in industrial process optimization, NC programming, and Lean Manufacturing, reporting to a team at Caterpillar Energy Solutions GmbH in Mannheim.
Required Qualifications
- Abgeschlossene technische Ausbildung mit Weiterbildung zum Techniker (m/w/d), technisches Studium oder vergleichbare Qualifikation
- Mehrjährige Erfahrung in der Fertigungs-, Produktions- oder Prozessoptimierung in einem industriellen Umfeld
- Fundierte Kenntnisse in Fertigungstechnologien, NC-Programmierung sowie der Einführung und Optimierung von Produktionsprozessen
- Erfahrung mit Lean Manufacturing, KVP sowie strukturierten Problemlösungsmethoden (z. B. RCCA, 8D, FMEA)
- Ausgeprägte analytische Fähigkeiten sowie eine selbstständige, lösungsorientierte Arbeitsweise
- Hohe Kommunikations- und Teamfähigkeit sowie Erfahrung in der Zusammenarbeit mit verschiedenen internen und externen Schnittstellen
- Sehr gute Deutschkenntnisse (Level C1) und gute Englischkenntnisse (Level B1)
- Diese Rolle ist vollständig vor Ort angesiedelt - fünf Tage pro Woche im Büro
