Job Summary
Act as the liaison between providers and patients to support ongoing care, including providing pathology and laboratory results, completing medical records requests, and processing prescription refill and medication prior authorization requests. Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to US HIPAA laws while working remotely in Alabama. The role requires a dedicated workspace with wired internet, a high-speed connection, and a quiet environment. Derick Dermatology provides necessary equipment such as a secure laptop, monitor, headset, and webcam. Two weeks of training is provided, with a schedule that may differ from the hiring date.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Friendly, polite, and professional
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Empathy and a caring attitude towards patients
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
- Ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to US HIPAA laws and other relevant regulations
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet, private workspace
- Must have a dedicated workspace within your home
- Must pass an internet speed test
- Wired internet connection (no Wi-Fi)
- Must live in Alabama
