Job Summary
Act as the liaison between providers and patients to support ongoing care by providing pathology and laboratory results, completing medical records requests, and processing prescription refill and medication prior authorization requests. Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA laws while working remotely in Mississippi. This role requires a high-speed wired internet connection and a dedicated workspace. Derick Dermatology provides necessary equipment including a secure laptop, monitor, headset, and webcam. New hires complete two weeks of training before beginning their duties.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Friendly, polite, and professional
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Empathy and a caring attitude towards patients
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
- Ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to US HIPAA laws and other relevant regulations
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet, private workspace
- Must have a dedicated workspace within your home
- Must pass an internet speed test
- Wired internet connection (no Wi-Fi)
- Must live in Mississippi
