Job Summary
Serve as the primary internal contact for all service lines provided to network physicians, supporting day-to-day administrative operations and monitoring participation from entry through tenure. Act as an internal and external liaison to resolve challenges promptly, escalate issues for timely resolution, and promote positive relationships with physicians and office staff. Deploy EpicLink and the Provider Engagement Portal, providing education, training, and support while assisting with onboarding, account setups, and agreement paperwork. Facilitate meetings to discuss access, quality of care, and claims issues, and educate practices on policies, medical management reviews, and coding processes. Review existing policies for compliance, troubleshoot provider issues, and track physician status changes. This hybrid role requires 75% travel within the Santa Cruz/Santa Clara region and focuses on ensuring high-quality professional communication and timely service.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience of 4 years working in direct managed health care administration or Physician office administration
- 2- 3 years of Patient and Physician portals and EMH or EMR system experience
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Proficient in patient and physician portals and EMH or EMR systems
- Ability to use independent judgment and initiative within established policies and procedures
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong understanding of physician office operations, including interfaces and interdependencies between offices, health plans, and IPAs
- Demonstrated flexibility and strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize duties and effectively delegate tasks
- Ability to maintain excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Comprehensive knowledge and excellent customer service skills related to the complexities of physician practices
- Must be able to travel up to 75% of the time within the region
- Must pass a background check/drug screen
