Job Summary
Provider Relations Specialist responsible for cultivating and managing referring provider relationships within a designated VA territory, coordinating care with internal/external treatment teams, and expanding community partnerships. Develops market strategies, builds professional relationships, and drives outreach to increase program reach and patient engagement. Travel 70-90% within Northern and Central VA and surrounding areas; remote-based work with permanent VA residence requirement. Demonstrates professionalism in communications with clinicians and referral sources; analyzes territory and implements outreach plans; plans quarterly/annual business development activities; conducts face-to-face meetings with key decision makers; plans conferences and networking events; ensures timely response to referrals and admissions, and manages expenses. Requires 2+ years in relevant roles, CRM experience (Salesforce preferred), valid driver’s license, and a bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent 4+ years of experience if no degree). Required Qualifications
- 2+ years’ experience in sales, business development, or account management
- Experience in behavioral health or eating disorder outreach preferred but not required
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM tools
- Must possess a current, valid driver’s license
- Reliable transportation
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required; in absence of a bachelor’s degree, high school diploma plus 4+ years of relevant experience
- Clinical background preferred but not required
