Provider Relations Specialist (Full Time, Remote, North Carolina Based)

Job Summary

Recruit providers to ensure an adequate network by managing assigned recruitment projects, executing daily call schedules, and identifying gaps using network reports to maintain compliance with state and federal regulations. Collaborate with the Provider Relations team to create strategies for network growth while tracking interactions, compiling internal data, and negotiating contracts within established timelines. Act as the primary point of contact for the provider community, offering technical assistance, troubleshooting issues, and participating in committees to share market insights. Maintain professional relationships through diplomacy and conflict resolution while supporting access to services across Mental Health, Substance Use, and Disability fields. Work primarily remotely with occasional office attendance for team meetings.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a Human Services field from an accredited college or university
  • Three (3) years progressive post-degree experience in the field of Mental Health, Substance Use, Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities or Physical Health
  • Master's degree in Human Services from an accredited college or university
  • One (1) years post graduate experience in the field of Mental Health, Substance Use, Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities or Physical Health
  • Knowledge of Alliance's goals, targets, and outcomes in relation to the responsibilities of the Provider Network Operations department
  • Knowledge of all disability areas including Mental Health, Substance Use and Developmental/Intellectual Disabilities
  • Knowledge and understanding of principles, concepts, and Best Practices used in the treatment, habilitation and support of individuals with needs in any of the disability areas
  • Knowledge and understanding of the different systems that impact Providers
  • Microsoft Office suite, including Excel
  • Proficient with database maintenance

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working in a Managed Care Organization and specifically working with Provider Networks is preferred
