Job Summary
Enter, review, and validate provider data within a new database system while maintaining accuracy during migration activities. Assist with network maintenance for claims payment, eligibility, benefits, fee schedules, referrals, and appeals processes. Support provider credentialing functions, including application and documentation review, and research data discrepancies using multiple sources. Generate reports and collaborate with internal departments to ensure data completeness. Participate in departmental meetings and network development initiatives as needed. This full-time, 8-to-5 role runs Monday through Friday for an 8- to 12-week project at Johns Hopkins Intrastaff in Hanover, MD.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in a provider office, healthcare administration, managed care, or related healthcare environment
- Strong data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and database systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree
- Experience with provider relations, provider credentialing, network operations, or managed care administration
- Experience working with Access databases or other database management systems
- Familiarity with healthcare claims, eligibility, benefits, referrals, and credentialing processes
