Job Summary
Provider Operations Coordinator will manage operational support initiatives and oversee special projects focused on improving quality gaps (HEDIS/HOS), Risk Adjustment, and provider engagement across assigned affiliate groups. Responsibilities include chart data mining/audits, claims surveillance, educating practice staff, coordinating patient outreach and scheduling visits to meet patient needs, and in-home HEDIS gap closures (based on experience/education). The role requires coordination across departments, preparation for meetings, data entry, and educating patients about preventative screenings. Travel within Jackson and Josephine Counties is required; role is 100% onsite with work hours 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED required
- associate degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred
- 2+ years experience in healthcare-related fields required
- experience with Electronic Health Records required
- Medical Assistant Certification or experience as a Pharmacy Tech, Radiology Tech, Lab Tech or similar strongly preferred
- experience with CPT II codes preferred
- Current CPR Certification preferred
- Strong data entry and documentation practices
- Ability to travel within assigned region up to 90% of schedule
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
