Job Summary
Provider Enrollment and Payment Posting Specialist responsible for completing and submitting individual provider enrollments and re-enrollments for Medicare, Medicaid, and Cigna in accordance with payer requirements. Processes organization and facility enrollments and re-enrollments across multiple insurance payers, ensuring timelines are met to prevent gaps in provider participation and reimbursement. Maintains credentialing files, including licenses and certifications. Assists the Payment Posting Lead by entering Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) from insurance carriers and patient payments with a high degree of accuracy. Performs additional administrative and operational duties to support department efficiency and compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (4-year diploma preferred)
- Minimum of one year of related experience in medical billing, credentialing, or healthcare administration
- Familiarity with medical billing software required
- Solid understanding of third-party medical billing processes and insurance workflows
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word and Outlook)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including professional and courteous telephone etiquette
