Job Summary
Build trusted relationships with physician practices in the Tulare, Kern, and Kings markets to improve performance on quality, growth, and utilization metrics. Present performance insights, educate providers on Alignment programs, and facilitate onboarding while serving as a single point of resolution for claims, eligibility, and prior authorization issues. Conduct regular in-person meetings, negotiate physician agreements, and maintain weekly activity reports using department databases. This field-remote role requires approximately 80% travel by car, with reimbursement for mileage and occasional air travel for conferences. Schedule includes standard office hours with flexibility for early mornings and evening events.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years related experience and/or training
- Experience in provider relations / contracting with an HMO or IPA, medical group or institutional provider
- B.A./B.S. or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid driver's license
- Automobile insurance
- Reliable means of transportation
- Ability to manage a self-directed schedule
- Ability to prepare provider performance reports
- Ability to conduct regular in-person provider meetings
- Ability to travel 80% or more by car routinely
- Ability to travel by plane as needed
- Ability to work extended hours as needed
