Job Summary
Prototype Technician builds prototypes per specifications provided by engineering to validate form, fit, and function of industrial design. This onsite role in East Butler, PA involves building prototypes using tools such as table saw, miter saw, grinder, and drills; assembling and packing complete setups for brand activation or pilot stores; redlining drawings for changes; assessing challenges and risks; verifying vendor parts; validating instruction sheets; presenting ideas to engineering for alternate construction; assisting in transferring information to manufacturing; installing prototypes in the field as required; and performing additional duties as needed. The position requires travel as necessary and proficiency with MS Office Suite, Outlook, and internet applications, along with strong communication, analytical, and collaborative skills.
Required Qualifications
- Combination of education and/or experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job
- Ability to travel as necessary
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
- Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, & planning skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts
- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients
- Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
- Ability to work with and influence peers and management
- Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
- Ability to work overtime as necessary
