Job Summary
Prototype Technician Apprentice responsible for supporting prototype development of outdoor power equipment. Duties include assisting prototype technicians, operating mills, CNC controls, lathes, welding and sheet metal fabrication equipment, fabricating sheet metal parts with press brakes and laser-cut blanks, reading blueprints, and using computers/software to complete projects. Emphasis on hands-on mechanical work, learning CNC/sheet metal fabrication, teamwork, attention to detail, and contributing to quality improvements and cost reduction. On-site role at Valley City, OH with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth; HS diploma (or equivalent) required; ITAR considerations noted; no visa sponsorship available.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Familiar with basic shop equipment (mills, lathes, welding)
- Ability to read basic blueprints or diagrams
- Willingness to learn CNC machines, sheet metal fabrication, and prototype assembly
- Able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks in a shop environment
