Job Summary
Protocol-focused software engineer for the Space Networking Group building and deploying the Intuitive Machines Space Network. Responsibilities include designing and implementing space networking architecture, developing TCP/IP and CCSDS protocol stacks, convergence layers, and routing algorithms, and producing technical documentation and collaboration with external groups. Requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in C/C++/Rust and Python, Unix/Linux/VxWorks, TCP/IP knowledge, and experience with Agile/DevOps practices; security/EOE commitments are noted. Location is Houston, TX.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Network Engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development in C, C++, Rust programming languages, Python and other scripting tools
- Experience working with and developing in Unix/Linux Operating System, RTOS, VxWorks environments
- Clear understanding and experience with inter networking protocols such as the TCP/IP protocol suite
- Experience with software development methodologies and tools, including Agile and DevOps practices, with creative approach to problem solving, software quality and testing
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Gitlab, Docker, Confluence, Jira, SQL databases
