Job Summary
Protocol Specialist coordinates and executes official Coast Guard events, ceremonies, and receptions, serving as primary point of contact for protocol, etiquette, and dignitary engagement. Responsibilities include planning events, coordinating logistics (venues, A/V, catering, decorations), preparing run-of-show documents and briefing materials, supervising on-site protocol duties, coordinating VIP visits, and liaising with external offices and security. Requires U.S. citizenship, strong communication and multi-tasking skills, experience with protocol/etiquette, and at least two years of relevant experience; certification within 12 months of hire. Desirable familiarity with USCG procedures (ALMIS/AMMIS) and proficient in Microsoft Office.
