Job Summary
Protestant chapel musician needed to provide musical accompaniment for worship services on piano or keyboard, inspect equipment weekly, coordinate music with the service pastor, communicate song selections to worship team and pastor 48 hours before rehearsal, and maintain two service units per week (one performance and one practice). Requires ability to read music, play by-ear, provide music from hymnals, and prepare music for various worship occasions; must be present for all rehearsals, performances, or services unless negotiated, and maintain professional relations with Chaplain Service staff.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to read music while playing the piano, and the ability to play by-ear
- Experience playing a piano or keyboard
- Minimum of three years of experience
- Education/ Experience: Minimum of three years of experience
- Be able to provide music from the established and approved hymnals and other resources as needed and prepare/provide appropriate music for worship services, funerals and other special seasonal services throughout the year
- Must be at least 18 years of age
