Job Summary
Protective Services Officer provides safety/security functions at hospital facilities including escorts, patrols, and incident documentation; monitors CCTV; enforces policies; responds to emergencies; requires valid driver’s license, BLS, and timely training; 32 hours weekly nights at North Charleston facility; 1-2 years security experience preferred; proficient in reporting and communications; travel up to 10% may be required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association (required within 6 months of hire)
- Licensing/Certification: Valid driver’s license (required)
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training (Required within 6 months of hire)
- 1-2 years of security, law enforcement, or military experience (preferred)
- Experience in using Microsoft Word
- Defensive tools and restraint equipment proficiency
- Surveillance systems and access control software experience
