Job Summary
Armed security professional responsible for safeguarding Wynn Las Vegas property, employees, guests, and assets. Duties include screening individuals and items at back-of-house entrances, monitoring metal detectors, conducting bag searches, reporting threats or emergencies, maintaining security logs, and assisting with medical responses. Requires proficiency in firearms handling, quarterly training, CCW/LEOSA credentials or ability to obtain within six months, and compliance with Wynn policies. The role emphasizes Upholding Forbes Five-Star service standards and Wynn Core Values, and may involve interaction with executive personnel, incident response, and collaboration with law enforcement as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Nevada CCW permit or HR 218 (LEOSA) card or ability to obtain within six months
- Nevada Gaming Registration
- Alcohol Awareness Card (AES)
- First Aid and CPR certifications
- Successful completion of quarterly range evaluation and firearms handling proficiency
- Ability to obtain and possess a valid Nevada Driver's License
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Ability to work alone and in a team environment
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- English fluency; additional languages welcomed
- Proficiency with basic computer programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Two years of armed security experience preferred but not required
- College degree not required (high school graduate required)
- Willingness to comply with Wynn policies and procedures
- Capability to handle stressful incidents and crisis situations
