Job Summary
Patrol hospital buildings and grounds to deter law and policy violations, post at assigned locations, and ensure the safety of patients, visitors, and staff. Maintain communications with the Communications Center, verify authorized personnel access, and detain unauthorized individuals as appropriate. Respond to distress calls, panic alarms, and emergency disorderly conduct within three minutes of activation. Investigate routine and urgent complaints, file shift documentation, and conduct follow-up investigations as directed. Assist clinical staff with patient restraints, physically restrain combative patients, and enforce parking rules while controlling traffic on TriHealth campuses. Act as a liaison with police and fire agencies, maintain security logs, and serve as a visible resource for directions and policy enforcement. Work evening shifts with weekend and holiday rotation, carrying a firearm at all times while adhering to TriHealth SERVE standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree or GED
- 1-2 years Technical experience in Criminal Justice, Private Security, Police experience or Military
- Current Private Security handgun certification or ability to obtain certification within 45 days of hire
- Valid Driver's License with no more than 4 driving points recorded on a motor vehicle report
- No prior DUI/DWI convictions within the last 5 years
- No major moving violations convictions
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
